Feeling Good

Just a quick check-in. I’m closing in on 48 hours post-op and I have virtually no pain. I honestly can’t tell whether I’m happy or really nervous, wondering if there’s still some residual no-no-nerve juice floating around in there. By my math it should have worn off early yesterday morning, and yet here I am feeling oddly… okay?
There’s definitely some soreness, especially when I shift my weight around to get up off the couch. But there’s no crazy stabbing, no blackout-level pain like last time. It’s very weird. I’m going to give it another 24 hours or so before I officially declare myself over the initial surgical rebound. At any rate, the oxy and Advil are taking care of me, which is awesome.
So what am I actually doing at this point? I’m spending all of my time either on the couch or in the bathroom, and that’s it. I haven’t left the basement since Tuesday evening when I got home from surgery.
On the healing front, I’ve kicked off my intense peptide therapy: the Wolverine stack twice a day and GHK-Cu once a day. Their job is to promote healing in the soft tissue. I’m also back on my daily collagen to help heal the bones and strengthen the muscles. For now, it’s just resting and trying to let everything knit back together.
By this weekend, I’ll take a cue from John Travolta and start adding in some upper body exercises and stretching. Gotta keep the rest of me moving while the ankle sits this one out.
I’m feeling good today, so fingers and toes still crossed that the worst of this is behind me.

- Peptide healing stack officially underway: Wolverine 2x a day, GHK-Cu once a day
- Back on daily collagen to help the bone and muscle rebuild
GHK-Cu: 1x/day, also for soft-tissue repair.
